Micromax IN Note 1, 1B smartphones launched as Indian brand returns, prices start at Rs 6,999

Micromax has made a comeback into the Indian smartphone market today. At its online event that took place after about two years, the Gurugram-based company has announced the launch of not one, but two smartphones spread across the budget and mid-range price segments under a new series called ‘IN’ (abbreviation for India). The first phone is called the IN Note 1 that brings mid-range specifications for an aggressive price to take on Redmi and Realme phones. The second one is an affordable handset called IN 1B that is more suited for entry-level users. Micromax is using MediaTek processors on its phones following its partnership with the chipmaker

Micromax IN Note 1 costs Rs 10,999 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage option while the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage version will cost Rs 12,999. The colour options are white and green, with each variant having a different pattern on the back. The green one has radiating Xs on the back (similar to how the Honor 9X has them) while the white one gets a matte finish on the back.

Micromax IN 1B comes at a price of Rs 6,999 for the 2GB RAM and 32GB storage option and Rs 7,999 for the variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. It comes in three colour options.

Both the Micromax IN Note 1 and IN 1B will be available from Flipkart and Micromax’s online store.
